Irene Tinagli, chair of the Economic and Monetary Affairs committee (ECON) of the European Parliament, said on Tuesday that the inflation in the Eurozone can't simply be solved by interest rate raises. She also warned that policymakers need to be careful not to raise rates into a recession.
In addition, Tinagli noted that the EU crypto regulation toolkit is good in principle, and said she doesn't think that crypto regulation talks will be reopened. However, she added that there is a need to prevent crypto from having a systemic effect.
