PayPal (PYPL) reported Q2 FY2022 earnings of $0.93 per share (versus $1.15 per share in Q2 FY2021), beating analysts’ consensus estimate of $0.87 per share.
The company’s quarterly revenues amounted to $6.806 bln (+9.1% y/y), being roughly in line with analysts’ consensus estimate of $6.784 bln.
The company also issued mixed guidance for Q3 FY2022, seeing EPS of $0.94-0.96 versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $0.95 and revenues of $6.8 bln versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $7.02 bln.
For the full FY2022, PayPal raised its EPS guidance to $3.87-3.97 from its prior guidance of $3.81-3.93 versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $3.85, but lowered revenues guidance to $27.85 bln from its prior guidance of $28.2-28.7 bln versus analysts’ consensus estimate of $28.18 bln.
PYPL rose to $101.00 (+12.69%) in pre-market trading.
