European Central Bank Governing Council member Boris Vujcic said on Monday that incoming data has been consistent with projections.
The official added that if the projections stand as the policymakers see it at the moment he would expect a loosening of policy stance. However, he stressed that the policy should continue staying in a restrictive enough territory to make sure that inflation is brought down to the 2% target.
Vujcic also noted that the ECB's rate decisions are to be completely data-dependent.
