The Commerce Department informed on Tuesday its advance estimate revealed
that the U.S. wholesale inventories went up 2.0 percent m-o-m in May, following
an upwardly revised 2.3 percent m-o-m jump (from +2.2 percent m-o-m) in April.
According to the report, the May advance reflected a 2.2 percent m-o-m rise
in durable goods inventories and a 1.8 percent m-o-m gain in nondurable goods
inventories.
In y-o-y terms, wholesale inventories climbed 25.0 percent in May, boosted
by jumps in both durable goods (+26.6 percent) and nondurable goods (+22.7
percent) inventories.
