White House National Economic Council (NEC) director Kevin Hassett said in an interview with CNBC that there is a lot of reason to be extremely bullish about the U.S. economy going forward.
The official noted that trade policy uncertainty is expected to be resolved in early April and that president Trump’s trade policies are beginning to achieve their intended goal of bringing manufacturing and jobs back to the U.S.
Hassett also cautioned against recession fears, revealing that he expects the first quarter to squeak into positive territory, and highlighted the recent decline in the 10-year yield.
