News outlets report that China removed Yi Gang from the post as governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBoC) and appointed Pan Gongsheng to replace him.
According to Bloomberg, Pan is a long-time central banker. He started to work in the PBoC in 2012. Before this, he held senior positions at several state banks.
Also, China removed Qin Gang from the post of foreign minister, replacing him with Wang Yi.
