New York Federal Reserve president John Williams said on Wednesday that the Fed's policymakers still have some work to do to get inflation under control. He added, however, that the Fed will watch the data to determine path of interest rate rises. "Maybe services prices stay elevated, and if that happens we'll need higher rates," the official said.
Also, Williams said that the December dot plot views are still very reasonable due to totality of all economic data.
