The European Central Bank's vice president Luis de Guindos stated on Monday that the number and size of future rate increases by the ECB will depend on incoming data. The policymaker also repeated that the ECB is fully committed to 2% medium-term inflation target.
In addition, de Guindos acknowledged that eurozone's economy will slow significantly in the third and fourth quarters, and added that the ECB has instruments to fight fragmentation.
