Consumer confidence index is based on the survey of households’ tendency to buyexpensive goods The indicator is calculated by one of the largest building societies in the world (special mortgage bank) Nationwide Building Society, representing one of the indexes that demonstrates the level of British consumers’ confidence. The survey includes about 1000 consumers who evaluate the relative level of current and future economic conditions.
