Chỉ số phản ánh sự thay đổi trong giá nhà ở tại 20 thành phố của Mỹ. Mặc dù thực tế rằng giá trị của các chỉ số được công bố 60 ngày sau khi kết thúc kỳ báo cáo, trên thị trường vẫn đang tham gia theo dõi chặt chẽ sự phát triển của các chỉ số đó kể từ khi phương pháp tính toán được công nhận là một trong những phương pháp tốt nhất.

Tác động đến thị trường

Có tác động vừa phải tới thị trường. Tốc độ tăng trưởng hoặc vượt quá giá trị dự báo có thể là dấu hiệu tích cực và tiêu cực đối với cổ phiếu và đồng USD, phụ thuộc vào tình hình thị trường.
