The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported Thursday that natural gas inventories increased by 74 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended June 17. This marked the smallest advance in natural gas inventories in eight weeks.
Economists had predicted a gain of 65 bcf.
The previous week registered a build of 92 bcf.
