Atlanta Federal Reserve President Raphael Bostic said Monday that the Fed may have to go up further on rates. The policymaker noted that he does not see inflation coming down quickly, and there is still a long way to go in the battle against inflation.
In addition, Bostic said that rate cuts are not part of his baseline. "My baseline is we will not be looking at cutting until well into 2024," he added.
The official also unveiled that he thinks the math - on inflation and the economy - will work in Fed's favor in the next several months.
