The European Central Bank's supervisory chief Andrea Enria said on Tuesday that there is no direct read-across of the U.S. events to the Eurozone's banks.
The official noted that the banks in euro area generally operate with a more-diversified customer base. According to him, more than half of the existing buffers of highly-liquid assets are made up of cash and central bank reserves.
Also, he noted that funding and liquidity positions of the European banks were not materially affected by Credit Suisse.
