In its monthly report, the Bundesbank said that Germany's economic activity would probably fall again in the first quarter of the year. However, it added that the decline is expected to be less than in the fourth quarter of 2022 (-0.4%).
Also, the Bundesbank noted that the core inflation rate is proving exceptionally persistent and suggested that it could even increase slightly towards the middle of the year.
