According to the report from the National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT), in October, seasonally adjusted construction output in Italy increased by 0.8% compared to September, while in annual terms, the growth accelerated to 13.9% compared with 10.5% in September.
Meanwhile, over the last three months (through October), construction production increased by 2.8% compared to the previous quarter. Since the beginning of this year (through October), construction output has increased by 26.0% (seasonally adjusted).
A separate preliminary report from ISTAT showed that in November the volume of Italian exports to non-EU27 countries increased by 13.3% per annum, while imports increased by 37.7% per annum. On a monthly basis and seasonally adjusted, exports grew by 2.9%, while imports increased by 0.6%. Italy's trade surplus with non-EU27 countries amounted to EUR 4,210 million, compared with EUR 6,626 million in November 2020.
