UK's PM Johnson may be facing a no-confidence vote

Multiple British media reports that the UK's Prime Minister (PM) Boris Johnson may be facing a no-confidence vote from his party - the Conservative Party - after he imposed additional coronavirus restrictions for England earlier this week.

According to reports, the Tory MPs confirm that they are having conversations about how to oust Johnson, whose reputation was hurt by a number of scandals as well. However, they add that doesn’t mean it is going to happen.

As a reminder, Johnson announced the introduction of the so-called “Plan B” to contain COVID on Wednesday, which includes a work from home order and a Covid pass mandate. This raised worries about the outlook for the British economy.

According to the latest YouGov poll, which was conducted in late November, Johnson's approval rating fell to a record low of 29%.
